Part V. Guidelines for Multimedia Content on the Libraries Website

Multimedia content such as video, audio and screencasts may be included as part of the Libraries website. Like other portion of the site, Web Services staff are not responsible for accuracy, quality, etc., of multimedia content except in cases where they are the owners of the multimedia content. Content owners creating multimedia content must make sure they have obtained all the necessary rights related to the content they are putting up. This includes the following:

  1. photographs and video must be have the appropriate UH Photo Release form filled out and on file.
  2. permissions have been obtained from copyright holders for any materials used that the Libraries does not hold the copyright
  3. license agreement have been checked to determine that licensed material may be used
Any multimedia content that violates a license agreement or infringes upon copyright will be immediately removed from the Libraries site.

  • Any multimedia item that is part of the Libraries' site (a tutorial, a video, a sound recording, etc) must have a text alternative that provides equivalent information.
